About GEDA
GEDA was started in Vietnam with the vision of loving and caring for children in need. GEDA is a Christian organization that seeks to be obedient to God by looking out for those in need, especially children. GEDA is happy to help those in need regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, or political views.
Over the last 10 years, GEDA, in partnership with people around the world and local districts in Vietnam, has been working to care for, educate, and love kids in need.
GEDA has also partnered with local communes and clinics to medically care for families and individuals in need.
The Center of Hope
Currently, GEDA supports three projects in North Vietnam that are focused on helping orphaned children in need. Our centers are called “The Center of Hope.” Currently we have two centers, one in Lap Thach and one in Tinh Gia. In Tinh Gia we also have a project working with orphans who have a stable living situation, but need help for the child to go to school.
One of our goals is to keep the children connected with their family. Many of the children in our Centers feel that they are surrounded by “brothers and sisters.” However, we still keep the child in contact with his or her family and encourage them to take visits back home.
GEDA hopes to continue it's work in Vietnam as long as there is a need.
